Effective date: October 2, 2026
In short: Pangkah does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account, no backend server, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party software of any kind inside the app. Everything you do in Pangkah stays on your device.
Pangkah ("the App") is an offline, single-player game about Malay spinning-top (gasing) combat, inspired by the traditions of Kelantan and Terengganu, Malaysia. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information, and it applies to the App distributed under the bundle identifier com.pangkah.gasing.
Pangkah does not collect any personal data, usage data, or device identifiers, and does not transmit any information to us or to anyone else. The App has no user accounts, no sign-in, no backend server, and no network connection is required or used to play.
There is no analytics software development kit (SDK), no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no third-party SDK of any kind embedded in the App. The App does not track you, and it does not track your activity across other companies' apps or websites.
In the in-game Workshop, you may customize the crown pattern painted onto your gasing (spinning top) using a photo of your choice, such as a photo of batik or songket cloth. To do this, the App may ask for permission to use your device's camera or photo library.
Pangkah can send you an optional, local daily reminder encouraging you to beat your best spin time. This notification is generated entirely on your device by iOS itself; it does not involve any server of ours and no data about you is sent anywhere to produce it.
This feature is opt-in: the App requests notification permission only in context, when you choose to enable the reminder, and you can turn it off at any time in the App's settings or in your device's Settings app under Notifications.
All data created while you play, including your progress, win and loss records, statistics in the record book, workshop customizations, and app settings, is stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults and local on-device storage mechanisms. None of this data ever leaves your device, is backed up to our servers, or is accessible to us, because we do not operate any server or database that the App connects to.
The App's privacy manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) reflects this: it declares no data collection, no tracking, and the only "required reason" API used is UserDefaults, for the sole purpose of storing your own settings and progress on your own device (reason code CA92.1).
Pangkah contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no multiplayer or social features. There is no mechanism in the App through which your data could be shared with advertisers, data brokers, or other players.
Pangkah is not directed at children and is suitable for a general audience. Because the App does not collect any data from any user, regardless of age, no personal data is collected from children either. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data through the App, please contact us; however, note that this would not be possible through normal use of the App, since the App has no means of transmitting any data to us.
Since all App data is stored exclusively on your own device and never on any server we control, you are always in full control of it. You can view, change, or erase it at any time:
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the App or in applicable law. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or about Pangkah, please contact us.
